No apology

I won't apologise for not updating recently cos as you can imagine I've been doing a wee bit of leveling :-)

As mentioned before the early stages of 62*80 are all about building foundations on the 6 chosen servers. In the main this means creating a whole ton of 60s and getting the whole gold making process moving. During this stage I am jumping about like a gnome on a hot plate.

In the past (on the EU realms) this was all very unstructured and resulted in toonmegeddon. This is one of the many reasons I am now playing on the US realms (that and the free cup cakes promised by @Alachia) Fortunately 62*80 has brought order and calm to the fun.

I have to say thanks to all those following the blog and the kind words of encouragement you guys have given me. Also I need your help (see you knew there was a catch). I would love to hear what you want to see on this blog as far as project updates. Naturally I am happy to blah blah blah but I am torn about how to show progress. So suggestions are very much appreciated.

  1. Heh, i agree, no apologies!

I think, with the whole achievement system, simply listing the armory links of your characters would be more than enough to satisfy our morbid curiosities of your progress.

Then, of course, hearing your take on how things are going would be swell.

  2. You could use Justin.tv too stream your desktop and you leveling your chars. The pieces of software i can reccomend are:
    for desktop recording: http://www.superwebcam.com/
    and
    for streaming: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmedia...shmediaencoder/

These work when i tried it :). Its worth giving it a go when you are taking a break from leveling. Let us know how it goes. :)

  3. I make http://apps.facebook.com/hearthstone/ and from there if you add your characters you'll get a consolidated 'mini-feed' of all your work across your toons (just hit the 'refresh' button when you know you've played certain ones).

There are tools to embed your characters and accomplishments in your site too.

    Best of luck!

  4. You could also use XFire to broadcast your playing, which works great. An amory linkage would be awesome, and maybe just some random recordings... Maybe a nice 10 level mark, every 10 levels post an update, and as you get into higher levels, post every 5.

  5. If you've organised how you are to proceed on spreadsheets and the like, I'm sure people would love to see the nitty gritty behind the project.. the inner workings if you know what I mean. :)

  6. I think you should create a page with each class / race combination listed on it, with a sort of progress bar next to it which you could update and show the progress of levelling each character to 80 in the progress bar next to it :p

Then at the top, an overall bar showing the progress of how far youve got with all 62 characters

It might even motivate you if you think its not going to be completed in time for christmas ;)

I would love it if you done this, would be able to see how fast your making progress and which variation of classes youve still got to level :)
